Picnic concert just the wicket

Walker Ground Music Day, Waterfall Road, Southgate, Sunday, gates open at 2pm, music from 4pm to 8pm
Set amid the Southgate Green conservation area, the Walker Cricket Ground should provide a laid-back setting for this open-air family concert and picnic.
Acts appearing will include the 40-piece Southgate Symphony Orchestra, award-winning dance troupe the Emerald Irish Dancers, and the Finchley and Friern Barnet Operatic Society.
Denise Gandhi, of Southgate Green Association, says: "This is exactly the sort of event that enables residents to enjoy the special atmosphere of the Walker Ground, the jewel of the conservation area."
Tickets cost £15 for adults (concessions £5-10, family ticket £40) and are available by calling 020 8292 9222.
